At Storydor, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Information we collect
Account information: Full name, email address, password (encrypted), wilaya, and account type (creator or institution).
Profile information: Profile photo, bio, services offered, equipment, languages, and daily rates.
Uploaded work: Photos, videos, PDF files, and audio files you upload to your portfolio.
Usage data: Pages you visit, time spent on the platform, and your interactions with projects and offers.
Payment information: Bank account number (RIB) and bank name, solely for receiving payments. We do not store credit card data.
2. How we use your information
Operating the service: To create your account, display your profile to institutions, and let you send offers on projects.
Communication: Sending notifications about new projects, messages, and updates to your account.
Improving the platform: Analyzing usage data (anonymized) to develop our services and improve the user experience.
Financial transactions: Processing payments between creators and institutions through approved payment methods.
3. Sharing your information
With institutions: Your public profile information (name, photo, services, work) is visible to registered institutions according to your privacy settings.
Service providers: We use Supabase for storage and authentication, which adheres to the same data protection standards.
Legal obligations: We may disclose your information in response to court orders or requests from Algerian law enforcement authorities.
No selling of data: We never sell your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes, under any circumstances.
4. Data protection
Encryption: All passwords are encrypted. Communication between your browser and our servers is protected by TLS/HTTPS.
Storage: Your data is stored on secure servers with regular backups.
Restricted access: Only authorized staff who need it to perform their duties can access your personal data.
5. Your rights
Access and correction: You can access and update all your personal data at any time from your profile and settings pages.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all your data from Settings > Danger Zone. Final deletion takes place within 30 days.
Restriction of processing: You can temporarily deactivate your account without deleting it, which stops your profile from being shown to others.
Data portability: You can request a copy of your data in JSON format by contacting support.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and to maintain your session. These cannot be disabled.
7. Privacy of minors
Minimum age: The Storydor platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. If we learn that a minor has registered, we will delete the account immediately.
